LUPE FIASCO FINALLY GETS A RELEASE DATE FOR LASERS!
Lupe Fiasco has officially reconciled with his record label and is set to release his latest album.
As previously reported, Lupe called out Atlantic Records at a concert saying that they were stalling the release of his completed project Lasers.
Before that, a number of Lupe fans planned to protest the company on “Fiasco Friday”, a day where'd they'd gather outside of the label office and demand the album's release.
Now the protest may officially be off since the rapper has met with Atlantic Records executives.
Lupe tweeted a picture to his fans last night of himself and Atlantic Records President, Julie Greenwald with the caption; “Victory.”
Since then a new release date for Lasers has been set, March 8, 2011.

SMIRNOFF Vodka is launching a new reality television show, Master of the Mix. In a quest to crown the hottest DJ in the world, Master of the Mix is hosting multiple DJs in cities throughout the world to determine the ultimate mix master. Hosted by Grammy nominated producer/DJ, Just Blaze, and world famous DJ, Kid Capri, the show will pit the world's most prominent DJs against each other in head-to-head competition. The show will air Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET beginning 11/3 on Centric, a 24-hour music and entertainment channel aimed at the African American audience. The show re-airs on Saturday nights at midnight ET on BET. The competition kicks off at the DJ's base camp for the show, a luxurious home in the Hollywood Hills, and quickly moves to Sin City where the DJs spin at The People's Challenge, a massive vodka tasting event for SMIRNOFF at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas. From there, the show follows the DJ's from city to city – and party to party – including Miami, Los Angeles, New York and London, where contestants will put their skills to the test in a series of challenges. Judged on their technical ability, track selection, originality, and crowd response, DJ's will be competing for the title of Master of the Mix, as well as $250,000 in cash and prizes, including a personalized SMIRNOFF bottle. Kid Capri, who deejayed for Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam and has produced sessions for Heavy D, Boogie Down Productions, and Quincy Jones, will anchor the judging booth, while notable industry vets such as Biz Markie will make guest appearances throughout the season.

Widely known for his scratching ability, he has released several critically acclaimed self-produced solo albums and shared the stage with many legendary artists.
Rich Medina Founder of Jump N Funk (2001), the original Fela Kuti Tribute Party, Little Ricky's Rib Shack at APT (one of NYC's longest running weekly residencies ever), and Rock Steady Crew DJ. Rich also produced "Watchin' Me" for Jill Scott. DJ Scratch, New Music Seminar DJ World Champion, three-time Grammy nominated producer, third member of the legendary group EPMD. Scratch has produced for Busta Rhymes and Flipmode Squad, 50 Cent, LL Cool J, DMX, and Q-Tip. Aight with groups like Linkin Park, Fort Minor and the string of artists that do that RAP/ROCK fusion guess LIL WAYNE couldn't help himself..now okay I don't rate him as no big artist, he has one or two tracks that hit me back in the day but dude leave RAP/ROCK alone. Could barely understand what you saying you as is...but aight check it his new joint "I am not Human" another one of his tries in this fusion genre, now to my fellow producers in the house lets pick it apart...what are your thoughts on this joint. I personally think this beat given to another artist like FORT MINOR and those like him this beat would of been given more justice. leave your 2 Cents below.

The Massachusetts based six-member crew has played over 200 shows since their 2006 inception and pride themselves on the ability to kickstart any party while also facing the issues of today. The Problemaddicts pushed the boundaries of rap music with their 2008 release The Dark Side of Oz. The 12-track mash-up of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon and The Wizard of Oz soundtrack landed in College Music Journal’s Top 10 Hip Hop charts, winning over a variety of fans in the process. Their follow up, a free downloadable mixtape entitled Burn This Shit , has been showing up across the blogosphere with great reviews as they move towards their untitled 3rd LP, due this fall.
Moke & Tone- Moke & Tone is the combination of Hard Time’s MokeOut, and The Problemaddict’s Producer/ MC, Tone. The Debut LP, Shot Heard ‘Round the World” features production from Tone, Illmind, J Clyde, and more, as well as collabos with Toussaint The Liberator, Crooked I, Vorheez, Mr Metaphor, Catalyst, and Tools. This album should be emerging in the next few months, so keep an ear out for the Shot!!!
